When I think about my digital learning hub there are a multitude of things I would like to include. I created an initial website for my classes but haven’t added all that much to it, but it’s a start, it will grow in time. Ideally, I would like to utilize at least the following digital texts and tools in my digital learning hub:
- podcasts
- virtual labs
- tutorials corresponding to our content and/or digital texts and tools
- google docs/forms
- wordle
- gloster
- padlet
- PowToon (thanks to print2pixel conference)
- YouTube videos
- Khan Academy
- Science news articles
- Blogger
Of course I would like to have links to resources for each of my units in both 7th and 8th grades. In addition to all I have learned and continue to learn in my journey through my 6th year at UNH’s IT&DML courses, I have also been viewing other teacher’s websites and have gotten a lot of ideas. I want my website to be a place where parents can go to get information on what’s going on in the class, a place for students to get excited about science. I, of course, will include/share the wealth of information I am gaining from my classes. I plan on utilizing google sites to accomplish this task. Wish me luck, will keep you posted.
I love wordle/ It's a quick way to give an overview for PD as well as for a lesson.
ReplyDeleteYou already have a great collection of resources planned for your digital learning hub. I look forward to you continually developing it and being able to share it with other educators that I work with. Good luck!!!
